GrayRiver Farms is located in western Panama just 30 minutes from David, the second largest city in Panama.   This is a 15 ½ hectare, or 39 acre "permaculture in process" farm.

Panama is a beautiful country.  Approximately three million people call Panama home.  It has no hurricanes. With idealic  weather - like Hawaii which allows for year round farming.  Quality health care is available with local cllinics and 3 hospitals in David. You can enjoy an economical cost of living.

There is an asphalt road leading from the Pan-American Highway.  The city of David is only 23 km away.  A short gravel road leads from the corner to the Farm’s entrance gate. The entire farm is fenced.

The Farm has an area where they are raising pigs.  There is also a flock of goats!

The established nursery cultivates numerous varieties of native palms, trees and plants and has a monthly plant sale at the Chiriqui Flea market.  Plants are sold to both expats and locals in Boquete and David. The current inventory of nursery stock is negotiable.

There are five 40 foot containers for storage on the property. Two of the containers are set up under a pole barn for easy conversion to a house.  There is also a separate fully plumbed bath nearby for workers.

A very special feature of this property lies in the availability of excellent water.  The Farm has a high volume deep water well, 3 swales, 3 ponds, one of which is spring-fed and the year long flowing Caimito river on its eastern border.  Plenty of water for irrigation of crops and high protein grass for livestock. Holding water and thus soil nutrients is essential, especially during the “summer” dry season.

You will also discover a beautifully wooded perfect building site for your home by the Caimito River.

The Caimito River winds around the eastern border of the Farm where Guadua angustifolia bamboo grows.  Six beautiful pink flowering roble (oak) and other "wood" trees are scattered over the farm.  Balo trees (Gliricidia sepium) which are nitrogen fixing with spikes of pink flowers, line much of the fenceline. There are also hundreds of various young food trees, such as mango, nispero, citrus, coconut, breadfruit, marañon curazao, guayaba, soursop, mesquite (for BBQ), avocado, moringa, and perhaps others.  And there is a two hectare grove of 3000 new plantain trees which will bear a first crop next April.

Be part of the solution.  The world needs food.  This fully operational 15.5 hector 39 acer  farm in western panama is on a paved road and only a short drive to the city of David and also, the Costa Rican border.  It is now time for the owner to retire and she is offering excellent terms for a sale or a long term lease.

This may be the opportunity you have been looking for.  The owner is offering this working farm at $3 a square meter  or $449,000. Terms are negotiable.  Seller will consider a lease, lease with option to buy or a sale with attractive financing.  She wants to watch this continue to grow and prosper.

If you think this might be a possibility for you, don’t delay.  Schedule an appointment to preview this exceptional property today.
