Quality Photos Sell Your Property
Photos are about the most important tool for selling your property!!! Get professional Photos. Be sure to interview your "pro" to see that they are making true HDR photos. If you are a good amateur photographer, you can probably take your own photos. No matter who is the photographer, look at your property with fresh eyes. Get rid of any clutter - towels hanging on appliances, stuff on counters, stuff on tables or coffee tables. Fresh flowers can spruce up interior photos. Sit in a Chair to take photos of rooms this keep the perspective correct.
Take all photos for your banner with your camera horizontal. Then crop them to about 2/3 of their normal height. This will give you photos that look great in the banner box going all the way across the page. We are using a 9 to 4 aspect ratio which we will do for you. if your photos don't fit, we will put them up with a color border along the sides of the photo. Sample - see the photo of the pool above.
Correct Exposure for inside photos
Look below at the Gallery you will see some photos where the inside and outside look correctly exposed. This is done by combining several photos together to create what is called an HDR photo. Some cameras like the iphone have a setting to create HDR photos, but because there is such a large difference between inside and outside, the photo does not come out very well. I found a web based HDR image creating software that is easy to use. I took 3 exactly identical photos each with different exposure (with my ipadmini braced against a wall) using the focus/exposure square to adjust exposure for each one (a tripod is much better to use.) I took the first picture with exposure square out of the window, then a second identical picture with exposure square in the room, then the third picture with the exposure square in a dark corner of room. Then I used the software at http://www.fotor.com/ to upload my 3 pictures. You can play with this software for free. It worked quite well, very acceptable. You have to pay a monthly fee to save your pictures. But, you can sign up for one month and work with your pictures, then quit.
When the buyer clicks on a Photo in the Gallery the slide show will begin. The buyer can go forward and backwards or hold on a picture. The Photo Gallery looks best if most of the photos are the same size and horizontal. However, mixing vertical can work. it just creates a little more space between the photos. You can add text below each photo to explain the photo. The text will show in the slide show. The Gallery below has examples of different photos - both good and bad.
